Made in Swabia: a very special coffee

For the second time this summer we were allowed to visit our friends Anita and Rudolf at home to harvest Swabian coffee together. Yes, Anita grows coffee in her living room. Red and yellow Bourbon Arabica coffee plants thrive in a pot. This shows Anita’s green thumb, because growing a coffee plant in Germany is not that easy. Last time, we were more than surprised at how good Swabian coffee can taste.

In June this year it was finally time again. We were allowed to help the second time with their harvest. And also this year the harvest was presentable! After fermentation and drying, the beans a la Doña Anita were then roasted and tasted together with Anita and Rudolf in our office. All the effort and love that Anita puts into cultivation pays off, because this time, too, we were thrilled by the taste. This very special, Swabian coffee tastes creamy soft, of apricot, red fruits and syrup.

We are already looking forward to a repeat in 2022 and thank Anita and Rudolf for sharing this experience with us.
