Don Sadler is the patriarch of the Marin family. The Marin family has been pouring their hearts into coffee work and supporting the Yanesha ethnic group for three generations now. Don Sadler started his journey half a century ago on the family-owned farm “Ave Fénix” (Phoenix). Today, exceptionally high-quality microlots are produced here, both from Arabica and Robusta varieties. The list of innovations is extensive: Terra Preta, variety development, exotic fermentations, permaculture, agroforestry systems, advanced drying methods, to name a few. The resulting Organic Fine Robusta Lot illustrates the principle of Fine Robusta production in a circular economy, akin to the legend of the Phoenix.
