BMP Farmers

Espirito Santo

A modern consulting and trading company in the heart of Brazil

BMP Farmers, officially known as Farmers Coffee Consultoria e Comércio Ltda, is a future-oriented coffee consulting and trading company based in Venda Nova do Imigrante – in the mountainous heart of the Brazilian state of Espírito Santo. It was founded in 2020 by four young agronomists – Dério Brioschi Junior, João Paulo Marcate, Luiz Henrique Pimenta and Phelipe Brioschi. The idea arose from a shared dream among friends, all of whom come from coffee farming families. All four studied food science and technology at the Federal Institute of Espírito Santo (IFES), where they were mentored by Professor Lucas Louzada – a key figure in the Brazilian specialty coffee movement.

A bridge between tradition and innovation

Farmers Coffee was established to create a link between traditional coffee farming families and the dynamic world of specialty coffee. Today, the company works closely with over 300 smallholder families in Espírito Santo. It offers practical support in the areas of agricultural advice, post-harvest processing and market strategy. The approach is based on deep-rooted local knowledge combined with a scientific understanding of coffee quality. BMP Farmers specializes in Arabica and Conilon (Coffea canephora) and supports producers in refining techniques such as selective harvesting, controlled fermentation and careful drying – processes that have significantly improved the flavor profiles of their coffees.

Quality assurance at the highest level

The company also operates a modern storage and dry processing center where coffees can be precisely processed for the international market. This infrastructure makes it possible to subject both small experimental microlots and larger joint batches to rigorous quality control – including density sorting, optical selection and precise moisture management. In this way, BMP Farmers meets the high standards expected by specialty roasters worldwide.
