Vietnam Vibes – A musical journey

Our business relations with Vietnam go back four years, but the personal connections are much older. Our employee Paul lived in Vietnam for several years before joining Cumpa. The music from Vietnam takes us back to this fascinating country, with its rich history and vibrant culture. It takes us to the streets of Hanoi and Saigon, to the rolling hills of Dak Lak, Bao Loc, Sonla and Da Lat. The music reminds us of the people we met there while working with coffee and took to our hearts. Let yourself be enchanted by the sounds of Vietnam and immerse yourself in the world behind your beans. Who knows, maybe you are listening to the same songs while roasting or in the café as the farmers are during the harvest?

Music Styles

Vietnam has a rich and diverse music scene that is deeply rooted in the country’s history and culture. Our playlist contains different styles of music, ranging from traditional and folk music to modern fusion.

Traditional and Folk Music: These music styles often use traditional instruments such as the Đàn tranh (Vietnamese zither) and the Đàn bầu (monophonic Vietnamese monochord). The lyrics reflect rural life, love and nature.

Saigon Supersound: music from the 1960s and 1970s that mixes Western influences such as rock, funk, soul and jazz with traditional Vietnamese sounds. This era was a time of intense cultural fusion and musical innovation.

In Vietnam, music can be heard everywhere: in the bustling streets of Saigon, in the quiet coffee houses of Hanoi and in the sprawling fields of the countryside. The themes of the songs range from love and loss to daily life and patriotic anthems. Especially around “Tết Nguyên Đá”, the most important Vietnamese festival of the new year according to the lunar calendar in February each year, Vietnamese people celebrate their music in extensive karaoke sessions.

Music as a bridge

Music – like coffee – has the wonderful ability to connect us emotionally and transport us to distant worlds with the help of our senses. In your café or roastery, Vietnamese music can create an authentic experience that immerses your customers in the world of Vietnamese coffee production. The sounds of Vietnam not only convey the cultural depth of the country, but also tell the story behind our coffee.

By playing this music, you create an immersive atmosphere that invites your customers to discover the rich tradition and passionate people behind each coffee bean. Share this story with your customers and let them follow the journey from the harvest in Vietnam’s fields to the cup.

Enjoy your unique coffee experience!
