We are pleased to announce that cumpa is developing well. Not only is our circle of customers and suppliers expanding with more relationships, but our team is growing as well. Scaling products also means scaling services. Since April 2024, we are now a team of four, providing cumpa services within our networks.
Nadine Brucker has known the cumpa founders, Daniel and Lukas, since their university days in Karlsruhe ten years ago. Their paths diverged when Lukas and Daniel continued their studies and work in Baden, leading to the founding of cumpa, while Nadine pursued her Master’s degree in Constance on Lake Constance, specializing in human resource management. Fun fact: When Lukas spent his exchange semester in Colombia in 2016, Nadine visited him along with another friend. Together, they visited a coffee farm in Minca, in the Sierra Nevada of Colombia, for the first time. However, afterwards, they had little but regular private contact. While we were developing cumpa, she worked at a company as a Recruiting Manager, gaining valuable experience in human resource management. It wasn’t until late 2023 that a conversation revealed that her career reorientation and our business development might align. After several discussions, we were confident that we could be a good fit! Since April, Nadine has been entrusted with process optimization and human resource management at cumpa. She assists in the further development of the company in digital processes and helps optimize conditions for our employees. Typically, she operates behind the scenes.
Victor Pitta reached out to us at the end of last year and knows exactly what he wants: to live out his passion in green coffee trading and to expand the cumpa network. After several conversations, we were convinced he would be a great fit for us. His thoughtful, calm, and professional demeanor resonates well with both us and our partners. A native of Brazil, he has already gained important experience in both coffee and customer service. His international experience is particularly beneficial: he has lived in various countries and speaks Portuguese, Spanish, French, English, and German. His completed studies in “International Relations” further express his interest in global connections, problems, and their solutions. At cumpa, he is responsible for our growing network of German and European customers.
