Vietnam
News:
- In the first quarter of 2026, Vietnam increased its coffee export volume by 12.6%, but saw a 6.4% decline in value due to a global oversupply and falling prices.
- The capital, Hanoi, is celebrated globally as a top coffee city (2026 ranking by Food & Wine Magazine)

Peru
News:
- The new harvest season is beginning, and the first batches of coffee are arriving at the cooperative.
- Many Peruvian coffee producers fear that under the new EU organic guidelines, they may lose their certification due to isolated violations, residues, or documentation errors, thereby risking their access to the European market. As a result, some producers and exporters are increasingly choosing to sell their coffee conventionally or to other markets outside the EU.

Panama
News:
- The development of the Canephora segment in Panama is moving forward—in addition to our partner Kiva Estate, other Canephora producers focused on specialty-grade coffee are joining the effort.

Brazil
News:
- A container of Conilon has been shipped and is about to arrive.
- Brazil’s pioneering role in Canephora has made it into The Guardian thanks to Amazon Robusta.
Arrival:
- Shipping is imminent. ETA arrival April/May.
DR Congo
News:
- The situation in eastern D.R. Congo remains dire, with violence a daily occurrence. Idjwi Island has also been occupied by the M23 and has taken in tens of thousands of refugees.
- Coffee production around the lake is severely restricted.
- There has been an increase in the smuggling of green coffee to Rwanda and Uganda.
Arrival:
- SCPNCK (Idjwi Island, eastern DR Congo) — 7.6 t, estimated arrival in April/May.
- LUKI / Petit Kwilu (Mayombe, western DR Congo) — estimated arrival in March.
El Salvador
News:
- The 2025/2026 harvest is complete; production is roughly on par with last year’s levels and thus remains stable at a low level.
- The coffee farms are in full bloom.
- Strengthening the coffee sector is a political priority and is being actively supported.
- The effects of climate change and the ongoing labor shortage remain the biggest challenges.
Arrival:
- Shipping is expected in May/June.
Indonesia
News:
- Indonesia’s coffee production is recovering after severe storms—exports are rising significantly. At the same time, the country is consolidating its role as a Canephora exporter, primarily meeting the high demand in Europe, where Robusta accounts for about 85% of the market.
Arrival:
- Our second batch from Indonesia is about to arrive! Arabica, Excelsa, and Canephora with experimental fermentation methods by Reza Nurullah. Expected to be available starting in late May.
