 Vietnam

News:

  • “Tết” – Vietnam’s Lunar New Year festival – has come to an end. A new year begins.

  • Despite strong export figures, climate stress and increasingly unpredictable weather conditions (periods of drought, flooding) in the Central Highlands are having a growing impact on cultivation conditions and long-term sustainability.

Arrival:

  • 96B Excelsa/Liberica is available again. Some coffees are back, and new lots are being added.

  • Coffees from Mr. Toi, Zanya, and Lộc Rừng are currently being shipped. Estimated arrival is in April/May.


 Peru

News:

  • The rainy season is now coming to an end. It was relatively consistent overall. Now the new harvest season is starting.
  • Production volumes are expected to increase compared to 24/25.
  • The spread of modern varieties such as Pink Bourbon, Marsellesa, and Gran Colombia is contributing to improved cup quality.
  • Canephora is expanding more and more, with a first harvest at Aproeco expected in 2026.

 

Arrival:

  • Organic Canephora from CEPRO Yanesha — ETA April/May.

 Panama

News:

  • The harvest is currently being completed, and selection is starting.
  • New Robusta lots are being produced, and for the first time also Conilon lots.
  • Weather conditions during the harvest were within the normal tropical range.

Arrival:

  • Outstanding order.

 


  Brazil

News:

  • The weather in Espírito Santo was favorable, and a good harvest is expected for the coming season.
  • Research and institutional support are driving its leading role forward.
  • The harvest season begins in April.

Arrival:

  • Shipping is imminent. ETA arrival April/May.


  DR Congo

News:

  • Idjwi Island (eastern DR Congo) has now been under the control of M23 rebels for a year. Civil war and violence in the Kivu region continue. Our partners consider an official annexation by Rwanda rather unlikely.
  • Washed and natural-processed Arabica lots are still being produced.
  • Industrial development in Mayombe (western DR Congo) remains slow. There is little to no industrial infrastructure. The persistently cool climate makes high-quality drying more difficult.

Arrival:

  • SCPNCK (Idjwi Island, eastern DR Congo) — 7.6 t, estimated arrival in April/May.
  • LUKI / Petit Kwilu (Mayombe, western DR Congo) — estimated arrival in March.

  El Salvador

News:

  • Production is growing despite the challenges of last season (labor shortages, heat, rain, etc.).
  • Prices are stable, in some cases slightly higher than last year.
  • The weather was very good for this year’s harvest. There were strong winds at the beginning of the year, but no major damage.
  • Preparations for the EUDR: over 200 farms certified as deforestation-free.
  • Difficulties with water pollution and water availability are also becoming more noticeable in coffee production.

Arrival:

  • Shipping is expected in May/June.

  Indonesia

News:

  • There is criticism of the new trade agreement with the United States. Concerns focus on economic sovereignty and market liberalization. Political tensions and isolated protests.
  • Indonesia is one of the world’s largest coffee producers and is planning further increases in production. Domestic demand is growing alongside a strong café culture. Investments are being made in better seedlings and improved processing.
  • Regular earthquakes and volcanic activity are already part of life in Indonesia. Additional flooding and extreme weather events require action. Infrastructure and safety standards are being further developed.

Arrival:

  • Our first shipment of Indonesian specialty coffee has arrived. Now available!
